It ain't baseball, and it ain't apple pie. But it is fun, challenging and a totally addictive way to relax.

SuDoku, where have you been all my life?

Heck, I suck at numbers (ok,so I'm not as bad as most liberal arts folks I know), but I can sure count from 1 to 9 and still have a finger left over (so there!).

Seriously though. If you need a little break from your job, raking leaves or shoveling snow or just to take a mental breather from whatever ails you, try this deceptively simple little game sometime. For an online version go here (that one's pretty good) or here (haven't tried that yet). One more here (yikes on interface, but always an "A" for addiction).

For the Mac lover, my favorite is MacSudoku, a bargain at a mere 10 bucks. And for a limited time only--just for you--$9.99!

Face it, folks: (Like compost) Windows stinks. It's not just an aesthetic preference anymore--it's a security risk. And this guy's doing an experiment...

An experiment predicated upon an hypothesis that the WinTel platform represents the greatest violation of the basic tenets of information security and has become, indeed, a national economic security risk.

Entourage X makes me more efficient

I've recently moved to a 15" PowerBook at work. Aside from adjusting to my files being in a nice, user-friendly interface (as opposed to the not-so-nice, not-so-friendly interface that held them hostage for 2+ years), Entourage X has made an enormous difference in my ability to organize the files on my laptop.

I'd been using it for a few months on my personal laptop, so I knew the usefulness of the Project Center. But in actual working environment, this tool is powerful. Your work can be sliced and diced any way you want--by project, by person, by department, by topic...you name it. As a result, files are much easier to find and sort.

And I do mean files. Files in the form of e-mails, contacts and any other files, regardless of format, associated with your project.
